After watching a lot of Netflix, prime and YouTube, you might be thinking of new ways to make your quarantine more interesting. Involving in some games (outside the phone) is a great way to kill that boredom at home and it also helps in enhancing the memory, attention and concentration.
So, if you are bored of everything while trapped at home, then here are some most engaging list of games that you should definitely add in your lifestyle to make your quarantine days interesting and stimulating.
So, forget about that scrolling on the phone and involve yourself in these indoor games and make your isolation funny and amusing. Not only this, but it also helps in making a great bonding with your loved ones.
1. Captain, Yes Captain
Captain, Yes Captain is an active form of Simon Says. One person starts as the Captain and gives commands to the other players. Rather than telling the player word for word what to do, the Captain yells coded commands. At the beginning of the game, the Captain tells the other players what the codes mean. If someone can't figure out what the code means, they're out of the game and must "walk the plank."
Some ideas for Captain commands include:
"Bow:" run to the front of the gym
"Stern:" run to the back of the gym
"Row:" drop to the ground and begin rowing your arms
"Salute:" stand straight and salute the Captain
"Starboard:" run to the side of the gym
"Captain's Quarters:" run to the Captain
"Shark!:" run to designated bases
When the Captain yells, "Shark!" everyone has to run to a specific base to stay safe from the shark. The last person to arrive gets eaten by the shark and is out of the game. The Captain continues to call out orders until they eliminate nearly everyone from the game. The last person alive becomes the new Captain.
2. Treasure hunt:
Go back in the days and you will definitely remember the game of ‘Treasure Hunt’. Endless clues and searching for the gifts make this game interesting and exciting. Just grab any of your favourite things and hide them in a place where it is difficult to found. Leave clues in the easy location, then head to different and difficult places inside your home, creating a track to the final product.
3. Sticky Note Challenge
Divide students into pairs. One partner has a packet of sticky notes, the other has to stand still. The partner with the sticky notes puts as many sticky notes on their partner as possible in one minute. Up the challenge and require that the sticky notes do not overlap.
4. Tea Party
Players wear a baseball hat with tea bags attached to either side of it as they swing the bags around until someone lands them both on the bill of the hat. We love that this Minute To Win It game requires little more than what you already have at home.
5. Bottoms Up
We love games that use toys in an unconventional and inventive way. In this fast-paced game, players hang a yo-yo from their pants and then attempt to swing it around and knock four soda cans over.

6. Free Play Stations
Gym class doesn't always have to be structured. Sometimes, the best gym activity for your group of students is free play. Free play means that you set up several stations, and the kids can choose which game they want to play.
Free play doesn't mean that the kids can choose to sit out of gym class. Instead, it means that they have an opportunity to choose between several activities that you introduced earlier in the school year.
Easy free play activities include:
Soccer
Jump rope
Volleyball
Badminton
Basketball
Hula hoop
The purpose of free play is to let the kids decide which activities interest them most. Hopefully, the students will stay engaged in the activities. Before hosting the free play, make sure to ask your class which activities are their favorite and then try to incorporate those activities in the free play.
7. Card games:
If you are too tired to go out on the terrace or roaming around in the house to play treasure hunt, then you can definitely incorporate card games to your quarantine days. Just sit on the couch, add some refreshing beverages and snacks and play. It has plenty of benefits on your cognitive health and definitely improves your personal development, logical thinking, concentration and patience. Once you start playing it, you definitely vanish in the fun and exciting vibes and even lost the track of time.
8. Cup Stack:
Stacking and unstacking cups is a sport (honestly!). Students are given a stack of plastic cups, then they have to stack and unstack the cups into a pyramid in a minute or less. If your students like the basic stacking game, they can get a cup-stacking game that includes 18 different variations.
9. Color Sort
This is one of the perfect Minute To Win It games for the littlest competitors since it reinforces color recognition and gross motor skills. See who can sort the most M&Ms or similar candies by color in a minute. Students can do this at their tables or using a relay format running to and from a pile of M&Ms and bowls.
10. Choosing Cups
You’ll need 25 cups. Put a sticker on the bottom of some of the cups. Fill each cup partway with water. Players choose one cup at a time and try to find the cup with the sticker.
11. Donut on a String:
Tie donuts (or snack of choice) to a string and try to eat it with no hands! For an added challenge, try this blindfolded.
12. Egg Race
What could be more fun than a good old-fashioned egg race? We highly recommend using plastic or hard-boiled eggs so there’s less mess afterward.
