People crave fame because they want power, status, and wealth; No one wants to be treated like a nobody, like they're unimportant, or powerless, and this is why almost every other person wants to become famous; this is what makes fame so desirable.
In this article, we will discuss why people want to be famous and explore how to become famous easily by understanding the key factors that contribute to achieving recognition. With the right strategies, gaining fame can become a more achievable goal for those who are determined and focused.
What Are The Advantages of Being Popular
You get to be a person of authority. Having your voice heard and acted upon by others in your social group is immensely rewarding for everyone, even introverts.
Of course the size and scale of the social group that looks to you for leadership makes all the difference between rewarding and overwhelming. That said…
1. You get to push your own beliefs and enact change within a social group. If your social group has enough resources (members, influence, money), you can push your beliefs onto other social groups as well.
2. You can monetize your popularity. This probably doesn't need any more explanation given the nature of montized fame in the form of self-promotion, advertising and endorsements.
3. For those who seek fame and popularity, either the rewards of being popular outweigh the risks, or they do not understand the risks very well.
How Can I Stop Wanting To Be Famous?
The biggest reasons you might have this problem of always wanting to make it big are:
1. You consume media very much ranging from social media, news, interviews, movies, shows etc. and then you find yourself too much consumed by the lives of celebrities, their coolness, the glamour, the respect and so on.
And then when you look at your life, you see yourself as a loser in your own mind because you haven't done anything that have brought you any of those things, and this repeated process just reinforces your idea of the importance of being famous.
2. You don't have a good friend circle or relationship because either you're too shy or you don't have like minded people around you, i.e. you don't feel much connected to people, and stuck most of the time in your head, hence loneliness prevails.
This makes you feel unaccepted by the world and you desperately feel the need to be accepted in the way you see yourself, and what better way than to become famous and tell your success story all by yourself like you see celebrities do.
3. You are unsatisfied with your current job, and you want an escape from it. You think very highly of yourself and feel your current job as a mediocre person's job and you don't see yourself as that mediocre person. Or Your job demands work from you that you do not enjoy or feel passionate about.
You constantly read biographies of famous people, watch their interviews, and you constantly cook your own success story of making it big, in your life, though the difference is that it is only hypothetical.
4. Someone have now or before insulted you real bad intentionally or unintentionally, and you want to show them you're not the loser you think they think of you, by making it big and making them repent for treating you like that.
Now coming to the crux of all this, what really makes you miserable is just that you are having way too much of free time to spend alone with your mind and feel unsatisfied from your current life or work, and wanting to be famous.
5. You've got to come out of your mind, and get a life (i.e. make good friends, get into a good relationship, go out more often, have some new experiences and stop consuming too much of media) and indulge yourself into a more challenging and engrossing work, the kind you enjoy.
This way you won't be thinking about getting famous but you will be living in the present. And that's the most important part. If you look at the lives of famous people, you’ll find out that nobody became famous just because they wanted to be famous.
But they became so because they were truthfully committed towards their work. If it's in your destiny to get famous, you'll definitely get famous, without even thinking about it.
